Community wardens
Introduction
Their services include:
- providing information to community groups
- assisting schools with a walking bus scheme
- arranging removal of abandoned vehicles
- arranging removal of needles and other drug-related paraphernalia
- assisting the Fire and Rescue Service by reporting possible combustible waste
- providing information about the Fire Service's free home fire assessments
- providing crime prevention information for residents
- reporting incidents of antisocial behaviour
- providing information on fly tipping and removal of bulky waste, see
- arranging removal of graffiti, see graffiti removal helpline
- assisting groups with 'community clean ups'.
