Street care and cleaning

One of the Council's priorities is to improve the quality of our environment and promote respect for Calderdale's heritage. This section describes the work being carried out, and tells you who to contact if you have any litter, dog fouling, street cleaning related queries or need to report a problem.

Community wardens

Community Wardens provide high profile foot patrols in residential areas of the Borough as well as a range of services to make our streets and public spaces cleaner and safer. This section lists the services they provide and contact details.

Dog fouling

A person in charge of a dog must clean up immediately after a dog has fouled a public space. Failure to do so can result in a heavy fine.

Graffiti removal

If you see graffiti in your neighbourhood, contact the service. They will record the image for future reference and then remove it.

Grounds maintenance

The council maintains sports grounds, parks and highway verges in order to keep the local environment in good order. This section describes the work being done and contact details for Grounds Maintenance.
