Postal votes
If you think you will be unable to get to the polling station, you can apply for a postal vote or you may be able to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf.
Anyone can have a postal vote and it's easy to apply.
You will need to provide a sample of your signature and your date of birth (for security reasons) and then we'll post your ballot paper out approximately 2 weeks before polling day. The deadline for applying for a postal vote is 5pm , 11 working days before polling day, but obviously the earlier you apply the better.
You can have your postal vote sent to a different address but you will need to tell us why you want this.
Further information about postal votes can be found on The Electoral Commission website: About My Vote|
