A customer questionnaire showed 96 per cent of people were satisfied or very satisfied with the theatre, which has been revamped over the past five years. Improvements include new seating in the stalls, new dressing rooms, toilets and a new website with online booking.

The road was closed in April following a landslip. It was discovered that the adjacent hillside was unstable.
