Adult learning

Introduction

Do you want to have fun learning a new skill, taking up a new hobby or enhancing your career prospects by gaining a qualification?

Whether you are looking to sign up to study for a whole year, or have a couple of hours a week to spare, we have a course that will fit in with your daily routine, with opportunities to attend courses during the day and in the evening.

With learning centres located throughout Calderdale, you won't have far to travel. Learning takes place at adult and community learning centres in Todmorden, Brighouse and Halifax.

If you would like more information or advice, if you would like this information in another format (eg Braille, large print audio type) or another language, please contact us. 

There are many more learning opportunities besides these, which are provided through the voluntary and community sector, through private companies and through other Council services eg Library Services.  These can be found in the "Where to Learn in Calderdale" booklet which we are continually updating as more learning providers let us know who they are, where they are and what they offer.
