Janis Bowie: Not just run of the mill
23 January - 28 March

Memories of a once thriving industry are preserved in these paintings of textile mill interiors by Janis Bowie. Evocative watercolours attempt to capture the light and airy atmosphere of the mill environment, whilst large acrylic works portray how the imposing structures of machinery dominate the mill setting.

Forgotten Calderdale
27 February - 25 April

This photographic exhibition features a fantastic variety of historic images of Calderdale, and the people who lived here. Taken from Calderdale Museum services collections, the images on display paint a picture of what the region was like in years gone by, where the people are as important as the buildings and the landscape.

Covering approximately one hundred years from the mid nineteenth century onwards, let the photographs introduce you to a time when the first tram tracks were laid, and rabbit salesmen still walked the streets of Halifax.
