Parks in the Picture
3 July - 5 September

Halifax Photographic Society has spent a year taking pictures of Calderdale's wonderful parks and green spaces. This exhibition celebrates the richness and diversity of our Green Spaces, whether they are Parks, Allotments or Nature Reserves and of the people who enjoy them.

Differing Viewpoints
7 August - 26 September

Textilia III present an exciting and challenging exhibition of new work which highlights the diversity of textile art today.

Hand and machine embroidery, felt and papermaking, patchwork, quilting and dyeing, there is something here for everyone. From the minutely breathtaking to the big and bold - be prepared to enjoy the many viewpoints of this well-known Yorkshire textile group.

Halifax Art Society
11 September - 7 November

The annual exhibition of work by members of the Halifax Art Society illustrating a wide range of media and styles. A great chance to buy a unique work of art by local talent.

Making It!
2 October - 31 October

Over the past year and a half Cultural Services have been working with groups and individuals from local neighbourhoods to explore the fascinating collections at Bankfield Museum. We have been inspired by the textile collections and equally by the participants own cultural inheritance. Come and see some of the photographs, textiles and films produced alongside objects from the collections and treasured.
