Mental health services

Introduction

These pages provide information about Mental Health Services for working age adults with mental health problems in Calderdale. Services are provided on a partnership basis, primarily by South West Yorkshire Mental Health NHS Trust and Calderdale Social Services.

Services for people with mental health needs

Most people with mental health problems are cared for by their GP and the Primary Care Team, and this would normally be their first port of call.

Some people will also need specialist services and a range of organisations, including the NHS, Social Services, the voluntary sector and independent providers, provide these.

Details of these services

View the services that are available, and specific information about each service

If you require further information on any of these services, contact your local Community Mental Health Team.

How to access these services

The list shows how each different service takes referrals. Some services will then assess your needs in order to find out what services will best suit you.

Some services are self-referral and you can find out which ones here. Other services that need a referral from your GP or may only be available for people who are on Care Programme Approach (CPA).  Please talk to your CPA Care Co-ordinator about this.

Information for Carers

The South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust has produced a Carers Information Pack: Information for carers|External link . It has been written by a carer for carers, someone who knows what it is like.  The pack will help carers access information outside of normal working hours.
