Eligibility framework

Introduction

The four eligibility bands are:

• Critical
• Substantial
• Moderate
• Low.

The wording of these bands has been determined by the government, however, Calderdale Social Services has added further explanation about the needs of people who are likely to fall within each band and also the types of services that may be provided to people who are eligible.

Calderdale Social Services will aim to meet the assessed needs of people who meet the eligibility criteria within the critical, substantial, moderate and low (greater). People whose needs are assessed as falling into the low (lesser) band will be directed to other agencies or organisations.
