Environmental Business Award

The Environmental Business Award is a free accreditation and advice scheme for Calderdale businesses and organisations. It promotes business, saves money and improves the environment. In line with the national aim, the district of Calderdale is aiming to reduce emissions of CO2 by 40% by 2020. The Award is an opportunity for businesses to contribute to that aim whilst improving profitability.

This business initiative has been developed as part of Calderdale's climate change action plan Calderdale Energy Future . The scheme provides a structured, focused approach to improving environmental performance and gives organisations the opportunity to gain Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. These can be used to highlight green credentials to customers, employees and suppliers.

Businesses and organisations can access free environmental advice on improving business processes, reducing CO2 emissions and cutting utility costs. Participants in the scheme that can show that they are meeting Award goals will be accredited to the certification scheme.

Any organisation no matter how big or small can benefit from the Environmental Business Award and membership of the Calderdale Carbon club. As long as you have premises in Calderdale you can join the scheme.
